Breed them to run... Breed them to win

Two Straight by Drill Filly by Total of 19 1/2 Lengths

When Sky Chaser broke her maiden at Gulfstream Park on April 20, the winning margin was 10 1/4 lengths and track announcer Pete Aiello noted that she "humbled" the field. That apparently wasn't convincing enough for the wagering public in her follow-up effort, and the 3-year-old daughter of Drill was allowed to go off at 5-1 in yesterday's fourth race.

Sky Chaser didn't wait long to prove her tote board quote was a little high, cruising up with Miguel Vasquez to take the lead after a :22.51 first quarter, then opening daylight on the field for the rest of the 6 1/2-furlong trip and finally reporting home by 9 1/4 lengths. Her second straight victory was achieved in 1:16.84 and she paid off at a generous $12, while collecting a check for $14,700.
