Breed them to run... Breed them to win

Two Step Salsa's First 2YO Winner of 2018 is Fully Loaded

Following in the footsteps of Drill, Two Step Salsa now has his first 2-year-old winner of 2018. Fully Loaded, also the first juvenile by his sire to start this season, lived up to his name in a $65,000 maiden special contested over a track labeled "good"at Gulfstream Park on Memorial Day. With Edgard Zayas aboard, the colt bred by Get Away Farm was sent off as the 3/2 favorite and was off third in the five-furlong race. Zayas sent him three wide turning for home, and Fully Loaded took the lead at the top of the stretch and continued on in front, holding off second choice Social Paranoia by three-quarters of a length.

The $25,000 OBS October yearling raced the five furlongs in :58.48 and collected a check for $43,000. He became the 28th winner of 2018 for Two Step Salsa, whose earnings jumped to $757,970.
