Breed them to run... Breed them to win

Three More Winners Propel Two Step Salsa

Two more days - three more winners for sizzling Two Step Salsa, making it six winners in the past five days.

Youarestillthewon overcame the sloppy track at Penn National last night, romping by 5 1/2 lengths going six furlongs  and becoming winner No. 45 for her sire. Inoel Beato settled the 3-year-old filly on the rail leaving the  gate, then used a wide move on the turn to sweep into the lead and increase her margin through the stretch. Two Step Salsa ended the day with $1,368,776 in progeny earnings for 2018.

At Gulfstream Park, Amazing Amelia made it two straight under a confident ride by Hector Berrios, who shot the 4-year-old filly into the lead with a powerful 5-wide move at the quarter pole, and opened up by 4 1/2 lengths in the stretch. Berrios never touched her late and she held on to score by a neck in the one-mile race. After a layoff of more than eight months from November to June, Amazing Amelia came back in 2018 with a pair of thirds before her latest two victories.

Stream of Gold joined the Two Step Salsa parade Thursday, winning at Finger Lakes with Luis Perez, who also used a wide move into the stretch to score at a mile and 40 yards. The 3-year-old filly bred by Tony and Liz Everard drew off in the lane to win by nearly six lengths as the 9/5 second choice.
