Breed them to run... Breed them to win

Sky Chaser 'Humbles' Gulfstream Foes

As Sky Chaser cruised down the Gulfstream Park stretch under a hand ride by Miguel Vasquez yesterday, track announcer Pete Aiello put it all in perspective. "Sky Chaser humbles them," was the way Aiello described the 3-year-old filly's maiden-breaking wire-to-wire performance, and it was the perfect designation.

The daughter of Drill bred by Dorothy Raffa was 10 1/4 lengths in front and still widening the margin at the finish. She paid $4.60 after completing six furlongs in 1:12.57. The $38,000 OBS April 2-year-old became the 10th winner for her sire this year.
