Congratulations are in order for trainer S. M. Kintz, who brought Nopalito back to the races after the gelding had been on the sidelines since June 29 of 2017 and watched the son of Two Step Salsa win by nearly four lengths at Presque Isle last night. With Pablo Morales aboard, Nopalito made a monster move on the turn in the 6 1/2-furlong race and cruised down the lane to win with ease and become winner No. 30 for his sire this year. Bred by Get Away Farm, the 6-year-old gelding was a $10,000 OBS January yearling and has now earned $126,202 on a smart record of 5-6-7 in 27 starts. Two Step Salsa's progeny have earned $794,406 this season.
