Phyllis Driller won for the second time at the Tampa Bay Downs meeting yesterday, at the same time extending her record of finishing in the top four to 11 consecutive races. Veteran Ronnie Allen Jr. sent the 3-year-old Drill filly to a contested lead, then held off Alexbabe after a long stretch battle to prevail by one-half length in 1:43.88 for the mile and 40 yards.

Phyllis Driller posted a record of 2-2-2-5 in 13 tries for her owners and breeders, Martin and Emily Goodell, who lost her in a claim yesterday. She became the ninth winner for Drill this year, best among Florida's second-crop sires and four ahead of the runner-up, Ocala Stud's Uncaptured.
