Breed them to run... Breed them to win

Drill Dancer Still Going Strong in Puerto Rico

Drill Dancer has retained her excellent form for two seasons in Puerto Rico, and won again to celebrate the July 4 holiday.

The 3-year-old daughter of Drill, who earlier this year finished second twice in stakes, including the Gr. II Clasico Defensora, was off slowly going six furlongs, and was sitting eighth after a quarter of a mile. But Juan Diaz sent her up after the leaders while four wide and Drill Dancer responded, getting up at the wire to win by half a length. The $30,000 OBS April 2-year-old now sports a smart record of 3-3-1 in eight starts.
